Join Our 2023 Christmas Campaign for Australia and Thailand
Join our 2023 Christmas Campaign! Help us raise funds for Thailand and Australia while also contributing in-kind donations to support families in Australia. For Thailand, we aim to provide small gifts, blankets, and 400 special meals for children, parents, and staff. In Australia, we are preparing 'blessing baskets' for children in out-of-home care and families in need — your support in gathering these items brings joy and comfort. If you prefer, donate now, and ZOE will handle the shopping.
Introducing The Treehouse Game 'Pilot' for Grade 5 & 6
The team at ZOE Australia have created a new game which is designed as a preventative tool for children who have been identified as 'at risk' or 'vulnerable' by a social worker, child protection worker or the school well-being team. Neglect, abuse and exploitation are never a child's fault. This game is designed to help develop strategies that may assist children to identify safe people and places, with the goal of protecting them from further harm. We are now offering opportunities for our team to come out and pilot this first of it's kind board game in your school.
HOW WE PREVENT CHILD TRAFFICKING
ZOE works to prevent the trafficking and exploitation of children. Individual, family, social, economic, and demand-related factors, can collectively contribute to increasing the vulnerability of children to exploitation. ZOE offers a range of programs that are designed to build a community of people who are aware and educated about Modern Slavery.
HOW WE RESCUE CHILD TRAFFICKING SURVIVORS
ZOE supports the work of law enforcement to identify and rescue child victims of trafficking.
ZOE is a member of anti-trafficking task forces and multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) in Thailand, USA and Japan. ZOE provide assistance to law enforcement through social workers, child advocates, translators and other support personnel.
HOW WE CARE FOR ORPHANS AND RESTORE
THE LIVES OF CHILD TRAFFICKING SURVIVORS
ZOE provides comprehensive restoration support to meet the specific needs of child trafficking survivors. In Thailand, the care is based on a 'family' model. ZOE parents are indigenous staff who receive ongoing, trauma-informed training that enables them to care for the unique needs of each individual child. ZOE helps to care for orphaned children and trafficking survivors by providing children with a safe home, education, medical and emotional care.
ZOE provides support to child survivors and children at-risk in Australia via partnership and collaboration with other NGOs. We look to find and fill the gaps in existing programs and help with unique and emergency needs. ZOE is growing the ‘restoration’ area in Australia.
ZOE Foundation Australia respects and honours Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past, present and emerging. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and recognise the continuing connection to lands, waters and communities. We commit to building a brighter future together.
At ZOE we value your feedback and we also want to ensure that you have an avenue to report any concerns relating to the conduct of ZOE staff or volunteers.
