David McHugh works with churches and organisations to collectively shape and influence movements that create positive change. Currently David leads the justice expression of Stairway Church, along with his wife Christy. As a speaker, preacher and teacher his desire is to inspire people to live for the benefit of others. David's career started in Management Consulting for a global engineering firm, and he has since worked for, and along side, numerous not for profit and church based organisations both within Australia and overseas. His focus on strategy and communication brings a unique approach into the church and not for profit sector. 

David holds a Bachelor of Business from Australian Catholic University and is completing a Master of Arts in Innovation and Leadership through Kilns College.



Corporate Lawyer, Insurance Australia Group Limited (IAG)

Sarah is an in house corporate lawyer at Insurance Australia Group Limited (IAG) specialising in cross functional legal advice to key business partners. She has years of experience in Australian insurance law both from a private practice and in house perspective. Sarah’s current legal practice varies on a daily basis however it shares the same purpose of providing legal, compliance and ethical advice to IAG. She is also involved in the strategic processes of the business and is currently focused on legal technology solutions to improve efficiencies and streamline in house processes. Aside from her corporate work, Sarah is serving as a Board Director at Petersham Assembly of God (PAOG) and also shares the role of Missions Director with her husband at PAOG. She is actively involved in local and overseas social justice projects in a legal and non legal capacity, including a two year volunteer engagement at Salvos Legal in Sydney. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Law combined with a Bachelor of Commerce (Major in Accounting) and is currently studying a Masters of Legal Business at College of Law.

Glen holds a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) from Monash University and a Masters Degree in Property and Construction from the University of Melbourne.


Founder and CEO, ZOE International

Michael is the founder and CEO of ZOE and is responsible for the strategic vision and operational management of ZOE Children’s Homes in Thailand. For over 20 years, Mike and his wife Carol have nurtured a powerful dream to rescue at-risk children and care for children who have been victims of trafficking. Michael and Carol moved to Thailand from the United States in 2002 to establish ZOE Children’s Homes. The organisation, which now employs 58 full-time local staff and 20 foreign volunteers, has provided comprehensive aftercare to 115 children and has cultivated effective partnerships with the Thai Ministry of Social Welfare and Human Security, Immigration Department and Transnational Crime Unit Police Region 5 as well as other NGOs including TRAFCORD, World Vision and Children’s Hunger Fund.

Prior to establishing ZOE International, Michael had a career in the motion picture industry for 14 years and owned an industry-related business for 10 years. Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Masters in Education.

David is the Manager of Child Protection and Communications at ZOE Children’s Homes in Thailand. David is passionate about the rescue and long-term wellbeing of children. In 2010, David and his wife Andrea and their three children moved to Thailand to be field workers with ZOE International Foundation, Thailand on a volunteer basis.

David works to ensure that all children are protected, as he trains staff, volunteers and the ZOE children about safety and protection. David also assists with communications between the ZOE volunteers and supporters. David also oversees the implementation of projects and programs funded by ZOE Foundation Australia.

Prior to joining ZOE, David was in business in Australia for 16 years, using his position to practically and financially support Australian children, through specialised children’s camps (2000) and work as a foster carer (2004).

David graduated with a Commerce degree with majors in Management and Marketing at Deakin University.
